Are we willing to walk into the small places, where breakfast needs serving and high chairs need cleaning and the baby is always insisting on knocking the hat basket onto the floor? Where the highlights of the day are blanket forts and kitchen dance parties and a cardboard box? There are no accolades here and few mountaintop moments. The hidden life of a mother is often small, unseen and seemingly inconsequential, and yet Jesus makes it clear that those are the perfect conditions to thrive.
