DEAR MOM BOD

DEAR MOM BOD

Dear Mom Bod,

Oh, how we’ve traveled this wild, wonderful journey together. From the moment I saw those two pink lines, you’ve been my unwavering companion through it all. And, let’s be honest, it hasn’t always been a stroll through the park, has it?

Remember those early days? The morning sickness that should’ve been called “all-day sickness,” or the cravings that had us hunting down that one specific kind of ice cream at bizarre hours because, suddenly, it was all we could think about. You, dear mom bod, bore the brunt of it all with such resilience, changing and stretching in ways I didn’t know possible.

Then came the day you truly astounded me—bringing into this world the most precious gift. I saw strength in you I never realized existed—felt love I never knew was possible. In that moment, every line, every stretch mark, every change was a badge of honor, symbols of the life we brought forth together.

But the rollercoaster didn’t end there, did it?

The sleepless nights, the first steps, the park visits, and playground chases. You’ve been there through every cuddle, every tear, every first- adapting, growing, and sometimes feeling a bit worse for wear.

I’ll admit, there were moments I looked in the mirror and didn’t quite recognize us. Moments I yearned for what we once were. But then, I see those eyes—their eyes—looking up at me, filled with love and laughter, and I remember what incredible feats we’ve accomplished together.

Dear mom bod, this letter is a promise—

A promise to try my best to love you as fiercely and unconditionally as you’ve loved me. To speak kindly to you, to cherish you for the beautiful stories you tell. Our journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s ours, and there’s no one else I’d rather share it with.

So, here’s to us, to every stretch, every scar, every story. Here’s to being strong, being soft, being real. Here’s to being mothers and embracing the bodies that made us so.

With all my heart (and stretch marks),

Me.
