AFFIRMATIONS TO BOOST YOUR MOM-CONFIDENCE

AFFIRMATIONS TO BOOST YOUR MOM-CONFIDENCE

Okay, let’s be real here for a second: Being a mom is like being a part of a superhero league, where the missions range from managing a meltdown over mismatched socks to figuring out that algebra homework that might as well be written in ancient hieroglyphics. It’s a wild, beautiful ride, and guess what? You’re acing it! Yes, even on those days when you feel like your cape might be a little frayed around the edges.

Sometimes, though, we all need a little reminder of the incredible superheroes we are. That’s where affirmations come into play. Think of them as little pep talks, tiny cheerleaders stashed in your pocket, ready to remind you how utterly amazing you are, especially when the going gets tough (or the coffee runs out).

These are for you, for me, for all of us navigating this wild journey of motherhood together.

1. “I am doing my best, and that is more than enough.”

Remember that day when everything seemed to go wrong, and you still managed to tuck them in with a bedtime story? That’s superhero stuff. Your best is phenomenal, and don’t you forget it.

2. “I am worthy of self-care and self-love.”

Yes, mama, you! The one who puts everyone’s needs before her own. This is your reminder that filling your own cup lets you pour into others more fully. So, indulge in that bubble bath, or savor that chocolate stash without a shred of guilt.

3. “I embrace the imperfections of motherhood.”

Spoiler alert: No one has it all figured out. The sticky floors, the laundry mountains, the cereal for dinner nights? They are badges of honor. Embrace the chaos; it’s where the magic happens.

4. “I trust my intuition to guide me through parenting.”

Ever had that gut feeling about what’s best for your kiddo? That’s your mom-intuition, and it’s powerful. Trust it. It’s been there through every fever, first step, and heartache, steering you right.

5. “I celebrate the small victories.”

Managed to sneak veggies into their meal? High five. Got through a day without a coffee stain on your shirt? Cheers. It’s the little wins that add up to a big, joyful life.

6. “I am not alone in this journey.”

This is a biggie. Look around at this incredible community we’ve built. Feel that? It’s the strength of millions of moms who’ve got your back. Reach out, share, laugh, cry, and know that we’re all in this together.

Mama, write these affirmations on sticky notes, plaster them on your mirror, or scribble them in your planner. Whisper them during naptime chaos or shout them over the din of sibling squabbles. These little affirmations are our secret weapon, reminding us of our strength, our worth, and the love that powers this incredible journey of motherhood.

Remember, you’ve got this. And, more importantly, we’ve got each other. So, here’s to you, superhero. Capes on and hearts open. We’re doing this, one empowering affirmation at a time.

You’ve probably already made 84 decisions today, and it may only be 9 a.m. Hello, dearest, welcome to motherhood. Making decisions for ourselves can be hard enough; then we add in making decisions for everyone in our family. And add to that pressure the fact that some of the decisions

The Work of Self-Care

I recently read a passage from a book which deconstructs the biblical story of Christ healing a woman with chronic bleeding:  “The healing was thorough and complete. It not only gave her body back to her but also gave her body back to other bodies. She was made whole for herself
